The 12K SuperGlide™ is designed specifically for the new Shorter than a short bed trucks - like modern 1/2"ton trucks with beds shorter than 6 foot. It moves up to 22-3/4" while turning. SuperGlide™ automatically moves the trailer away from the cab while making turns - allowing up to 90° turning without stopping, slowing down or even thinking about the space between the truck & trailer - and then automatically returns the hitch and trailer to the safe towing position over the truck axle when the turn is completed. Please see Limitations on Use; some trailers will be at the limits of what the truck's wheelbase will allow. The width of the trailer and the king pin extension will need to be evaluated on an individual basis. 1. Width of trailer. Simply measure the distance from one side of the trailer to the other. 2. Placement of King Pin in relation to the leading edge of the trailer. If you were to drop two plum bobs off the front corners of the trailer and then tie a string between them, what is the distance from the string to the center of the king pin? Is the king pin sticking out in front of the trailer or is it recessed under the trailer? 3. Are the corners of the trailer rounded or squared off?
